What You'll Find Here

Every now and then we receive a note asking where to find some piece of information on this website, or better, a person reveals a new discovery they've found. So we'd like to take this opportunity to point out some useful parts of www.aos.org.

Starting at the very top of the AOS homepage, above the dark green header, take a look at these icons. The first one allows you to change the language of the site (excluding PDF's). The next two give you access to social media. Follow them to visit our Facebook and Flickr pages. We would love to have you join us on the official Facebook page of the AOS. It is moderated by a great panel so you can go there to share your orchid pictures, ask questions, and share anything orchid with the other members. Check out the Flickr pages for amazing orchid images! These are the photos that have been featured as "Photo of the Week, below and in the December issue of ORCHIDS." We invite you to submit your own digital images for consideration. We hope you are an AOS member, but you can submit images even if you are not. For information on how to submit your pictures go to the bottom of the home page under PHOTO OF THE WEEK and you will find a link that takes you to the information you will need.

Next are icons that let you search the website, or log in if you are a member. The LOGIN icon is important because there is lots of information for members only. So please take advantage of your member perks and access the members' only sections of the website. If you have problems logging in please go to the BECOME A MEMBER tab and you will find help in logging in. If you need it, don’t hesitate to call the AOS at 305.740.2010 and our staff will be happy to help you. After logging in, you can change your contact information (address, email, phone, etc.). Click Edit Profile after logging in. .That takes you to a screen with your name, address, email, etc. You simply edit the appropriate boxes and update. Once finished, click the aos.org link in the header and you'll return to the homepage.

‘Tis the season, so please consider using the next two icons. They can be really helpful. One for the store is where you can buy back issues of ORCHIDS, books and AOS publications, and a subscription to AQ Plus® which includes access to the online program, ORCHIDS Plus®. ORCHIDS Plus® is now more useful than ever for researching awards and parentage. Try it, you'll like it!
The last icon, BECOME A MEMBER, takes you to the membership page where you can give yourself or those on your Christmas list a present of a membership in the AOS.
