Finding
SITF confirms this plant as Acianthera verecunda (Mar 2025). This plant matches A. verecunda with slender, sturdy, purple stems, and thick red-purple leaves with a few fleshy flowers that has minutely denticulate spatulate petals, and a thick lip with a small pair of erect lobes below the middle. The plant fits the Luer drawing and description of A. verecunda (as Pleurothallis verecunda) in Selbyana, Vol. 3 No. 1/2 (1976), "Miscellaneous Species of Pleurothallis".
