Fifteen cupped resupinate flowers on one inflorescence; plant is a mycoheterotrophic terrestrial that blooms in the late spring and early summer grown in 14-cm plastic pot in fine gritty soil mix; large and round to elongate, horizontal and thinner underground pseudobulbs give rise to an erect, elongate stem carrying three imbricate, basal sheaths and two to three more sheaths higher on the stem but no real leaves; sepals lanceolate, acuminate, light olive brown; petals oblanceolate, acute, light olive brown; lip rolled, light green, midlobe blushed maroon striped cream centrally, side lobes overlaid maroon internally; column light green, anther cap light brown; ovary light green, 0.2cm in diameter by 2.3cm long, sheath light brown 0.4cm in diameter by 2.4cm long; substance medium; texture glossy; despite reputation of pungent odor no fragrance noted in the judged condition; species from SE Asia; ID by SITF______________
