Description:

Eighteen flowers on a repent growing plant 41 cm wide by 52.5 cm long
mounted on a moss covered wood plaque; rhizomes 5.0 cm long, one leaf, ovoid
pseudobulbs 0.7 cm wide by 0.7 cm long with foliaceous sheaths, leaves 0.6 cm
wide by 5.5 cm long; inflorescence 1.3 cm long, sepals lanceolate, cream, becoming
orange distally, petal linear cream becoming orange distally, lip cream, callus
orange with red spots, callus warty, column dark burgundy; substance medium,
texture crystalline; origin Santanida Colombia.

local told us it was mapipiensis. Plant is from Colombia.

belongs in the Ornithidium mapiriense group.

I figured that out(smiling)…so I take it you do not recognize it. I
was afraid of that.

reply Mario- I would use the
name O. mapiriense. But this group needs a thorough taxonomic revision.
