Pleurothallis-prolaticollaris-2020-10-17***Determined not to be Pleurothallis prolaticollaris (July 2021), but it is an unidentified species at this time; this flower does not match the drawings and description of (Acronia) P. prolaticollaris in Icones 27; the species looks like it should belong in Subgenus Pleurothallis, Section Macrophyllae-Fasciculatae; however, none of the species researched were close enough in the number of veins, flower size, form of the petals, fused and rounded apex of the lateral sepals or color to be considered a match; the determination was verified by Mark Wilson, PhD., who agreed it was not P. prolaticollaris, but also could not identify another species that matched; hopefully, later studies may provide a suitable taxon***
