Coelogyne-lycastoides-2022-02-13 *SITF has confirmed this plant as Coelogyne cf. lycastoides (Mar 2023).

Posted on February 13, 2022

Finding
The abbreviation cf. refers to the Latin "confer" or "conferatur" and is used taxonomically to indicate a general agreement with a particular taxon, but not a perfect match. This plant does not completely agree with the description of Coelogyne lycastoides in "The Genus Coelogyne: A Synopsis" by Clayton, but shares most features. The plant keys closest to Coel. lycastoides, matching the number of lip keels and leaf nerves and compares to the drawing #13, page 66.
