SITF has determined this plant to be Dendrobium hosei, not D. nabawanense (Jun 2024). These two species are very similar. They differ in the shape of the side lobes and in the callus. D. hosei has a hook on the apex of each side lobe, which D. nabawanense does not have. These are clearly visible on the dissection of this flower, as well as shown in photos in Orchidroots.com/Blue Nanta. The size is in range of D. hosei and it also matches the description found in the "Orchids of New Guinea".
