"Twenty-five intriguing flowers on a single, upright, axillary, 28-cm inflorescence; sepals lanceolate, recurving distally, pale cream, flared red apically; petals lanceolate, held forward, recurving slightly at distal tips, pale cream basally, suffused burgundy distal three-fourths; lip recurving distally, pale cream blushed burgundy, midlobe light yellow; sidelobes burgundy; column and anther cap light yellow; substance hard; texture crystalline; floral bracts prominent, pale cream and somewhat translucent; recognized for botanical rarity."
