Overview
Monopodial epiphytes. Stems short, rooting at the base. Leaves numerous, alternate, distichous. Inflorescences axillary, pedunculate, one-flowered. Flowers solitary, green. Sepals and petals free, spreading, subsimilar, subequal. Lip three-lobed, with a funnel-shaped elongate spur. Column short, without wings or a foot; pollinia 2, each on a separate stipe and viscidum.
Etymology
Named for the Camp d’Ambre, near Diego-Suárez in Madagascar, the original locality of the type species.
Distribution
A monotypic genus endemic to Madagascar.
