Overview
Caespitose terrestrials arising from subterranean corms. Leaves erect, plicate, linear-lanceolate, long-petiolate with the petioles forming an elongate neck. Inflorescences basal, erect, long-pedunculate, racemes or panicles. Flowers not resupinate, tubular, pink. Sepals and petals subsimilar, subequal, the sepals fused at the base into a tube. Lip three-lobed, without callus. Column elongate, curved at the apex, without wings or a foot; pollinia 4, naked.
Etymology
From the Greek anthos, meaning flower, and gonia, meaning angle, referring to the angle at which the flower is attached to the ovary.
Distribution
A monotypic genus recorded from Nepal to Indochina.
