Overview
Epiphytes. Stems laxly pendent, slender, rooting at the base. Leaves terete, slender, pendent. Inflorescences short-pedunculate pendent racemes, the floral bracts minute. Flowers numerous, purple. Sepals and petals free, spreading, subsimilar, subequal. Lip three-lobed, spurred, with a low backwall callus. Column short, without wings, with a short foot, the rostellum large, flap-like; pollinia 4, in two tightly appressed pairs on a common stipe and viscidium.
Etymology
From Cleisotoma, a genus of orchids, and the Greek opsis, meaning resembling, referring to the similarity of this genus to Cleisostoma.
Distribution
A monotypic genus endemic to Vietnam.
