Overview
Diminutive acaulous (“stemless”) terrestrials. Leaves one or occasionally two, petiolate. Inflorescences erect, terminal, few-flowered, pedunculate racemes. Flowers not resupinate. Sepals free, glandular-puberulent on the back, the petals connivent to the dorsal sepal. Lip unlobed, with a central callus. Column short; pollinia granular.

A genus of two species endemic to Cuba.

Fuertesiellas are native to the mountains of Cuba, and should be grown in small pots of terrestrial mix under medium to low light levels and intermediate temperatures. Plant growth is cyclic and watering should be reduced after each flush has matured.
