Etymology
From the Greek rhombos, meaning rhomboid, referring to the pair of rhomboid appendages near the base of the lip.
Distribution
About 22 species ranging from Nepal to New Guinea and northeast Australia.

Grow plants of Rhomboda in a fine terrestrial mix at low to medium light levels similar to that provided for mottled-leaved Paphiopedilum. As Rhomboda lack pseudobulbs or other storage organs, special care should be taken to avoid drying the plants out completely.
