December 2024

Our December issue contains the sixth installment in Jim Cootes's series on dendrobiums and their relatives with Part 6: Dendrobium section Foveolatae. This is a newly described section circumscribing a number of the species formerly included in section Formosae. The latter section is characterized by leaves and stems covered in short black hairs while the species transfered to section Foveolatae have stems covered in tiny black pits. In addition, Leon Glicenstein shares with us his experiences growing habenarias and Larry Litwin' article Musings of an Apostate shares with us his views on growing epiphytic orchids.
