Jean Allen-Ikeson introduces us to the genus Caularthron and its hybrids. The four species of Caularthron aren't often seen in today's collections but there hybrids with more familiar members of the Cattleya Alliance are becoming more common. These hybrids are often quite easy to grown and very eye-catching. You will not want to miss this beautifully illustrated article. Also in this issue Andrew Coghill-Behrends begins a multipart series on the smaller flowered phalaenopsis species and their hybrids and Arthur Chadwick introduces us to the artist George O'Keeffe and her botanical paintings.
