This year, the Gardens celebrate 50 years of research, conservation and education and our November issue features an article about their history and future by Franco Pupulin. Johan Hermans, Landy Rajaovelona and Phillip Cribb describe a new species of Aeranthes, Aeranthes bigibbum, from Madagascar and Tomás Rodríguez-Cabrera and Robert Fuchs discuss pollination in Catasetum, known for their often remarkably dissimilar male and females flowers.
