Masdevallia-floribunda-(fma-xanthina)-J-&-L-CHM/AOS-2021-12-11 *SITF confirms this plant as Masdevallia floribunda (Yellow Color Group) (Feb 2023); f. xanthina is not a taxonomically valid subspecies to M. floribunda and therefore should not be used; since this plant was recognized as a rare xanthinic color form, the term (Yellow Color Group) was added to distinguish it from the typical color form; supporting images of this color group are found in the OW and orchidroots.com; petals of M. floribunda and this plant have an interesting bilobed apex and a distinct lip midlobe; also the caudae of the dorsal sepal is longer than the laterals which is considered a key characteristic in this Section.*
