Maxillaria-chacoensis-2021-11-24***SITF confirmed this plant as Maxillaria chacoensis (Aug 2022);<div>confirmation is based on Eric Christenson's description of M. chacoenesis in the unpublished monograph of Maxillaria where he describes the extremely variable pseudobulbs as singly leaved and Dodson stating that the midlobe is 1/2 the length of the entire lip; the presentation of the dorsal sepal and petals are clearly connivent (coming into contact, but not fused) as Dodson described them as closely appressed, but without any actual fusion; confirmation is supported by an excellent photo by Hirtz in Dodson's 2002, "Native Ecuadorian Orchids Vol. III".***</div>
