Ophrys-tenthredinifera-2022-02-28***Confirmed as Ophrys tenthredinifera (May 2022); this genus is a large hybrid swarm of which many of the published taxa in the genus appear to be genetically distinct species and many more are natural hybrids; it is almost impossible to identify these taxa to a subspecies level without knowing the exact place of origin; this plant matches many photos in the OW, orchidroot.com, and the SOF and is consistent with the description, photo, and key in Delforge's book, "Orchids of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East".***
