Finding

The pseudobulbs are ribbed and more or less cylindrical; photos show a single leathery leaf, which is held nearly vertical and the lip markings fit the description and the photo in the IOSPE. This is a good match to many of the "semi-alba, coerulea" forms of C. mendelii shown in the orchidroots.com.

Description as follows:

"Fourteen delicately and unusually hued semi-alba cerulean flowers on seven 13-cm inflorescences; sepals narrow lanceolate, rolled and recurved distally, white; petals rhomboid, curved forward and recurved distally, undulate at margin, white; lip tubular, flaring, crisped at margin, white basally, overlaid ochre centrally and pale slate-blue on distal third with white nectar guides; substance firm; texture matte. Recognized for being an unusual attractive and desirable color form of the species, not appearing previously to the AOS - also received a 79 point HCC at today's judging."
