Finding
SITF has determined this plant to be Maxillaria endresii, not Max. embreei (Aug 2024). The available photos are much more like the spidery, long sepals and petals of M. endresii and do not match that of M. embreei. M. arachnitiflora is similar to M. endresii, but is distinguished by its slender, inconspicuous pseudobulbs. The larger pseudobulbs of this plant better matches M. endresii. The sidelobes and calli on this plant also better match M. endresii.
